Cuffed Design is a custom leather accessories brand designed for the avant garde man. Designer Winston Lee shares his inspiration for the brand and how the brand has transformed from the initial design to what it is now.

You can easily get caught up in being lukewarm and distracted by the outside chatter and noise, and if you don’t guard your sacred space, you’ll forget your why. You have to continue to remind yourself that this is not an accident, and that there may be no manual to the next step, but you have to trust your gut feeling. Winston G. Lee, is the founder and Chief Design Architect of Cuffed Design leather accessories and apparel. The Cuffed Design fashion line carries custom leather products such as handbags, bow ties, duffle bags, backpacks, hats, and other unique products specific to the needs of the most diverse consumer. The characteristics of each handmade product is stamped with a special flare that encompasses the many facets of its buyer. Each product produced covers a wide spectrum of styles from chic and vintage, to rustic and trendy, while consistently maintaining the classic Cuffed Design feel and look. The style of each Cuffed Design product was created to capture the attention of marketing campaigns for high fashion styling and magazine editorials. As Chief Design Architect, Winston is intricately involved in every product to ensure that the same quality and consistently is met with each product before it reaches the customer. He has carefully designed each product with the consumer in mind, while staying current with trending styles during the Ebbs and Flows of the high fashion industry. Because no two people are alike, each customized project is always developed with the distinguished gentleman and or fashionable lady at heart.

Cuffed Design was birthed in 2013 out of designing bracelets for his daughter and family members while out of work with an injury. Over the course of the next 6 years later, Cuffed Design would become a new fashion brand name and sought after apparel and accessory line both international and domestically. What once began in his garage out of frustration would later matriculate into his greatest passion and joy. For the first two years, Winston studied leather craftsmanship under a master leather designer while also serving as an apprentice to a former high fashion designer for a well-known high fashioned handbag and apparel brand. Through his apprenticeship, he was moved to open a small warehouse to carry his new brand equipped with the tools, sewing machines, and infrastructure required to further sow into his vision as a high-fashion designer. Over the years, Cuffed Design has grown and continues to grow in volume and margin annually.

As a devoted husband and father, the Miami Florida native, born to Caribbean parents, is now making his mark in the fashion industry as an up and coming designer with fresh ideas unique to all ages and stages in life. The business major from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is applying his innate fashion sense and out of the box business skills to the growth and sustainability of his business.

Winston is a devoted husband and proud father of a son and daughter, which are his primary motivators.
