Libreri Mapou is a bookstore, gift shop, and cultural center rolled into one. Situated at the Caribbean Marketplace Complex, Libreri Mapou has been a long time fixture in the Little Haiti community and a hub for Haitian immigrants migrating to South Florida in the 80’s and 90’s. In addition to books and artifacts highlighting Haitian culture, Libreri Mapou has various educational material to help non-Haitians appreciate and understand Haitian history, language, art, and culture.
