BlackPagesMiami Launch Party Rallies the Community

There’s something powerful about when Black South Florida comes together. That was the case as Black Excellence was highlighted at the launch party for Black Pages Miami hosted at the Black-owned Macaya Gallery in Midtown on September 21, 2016. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, and the community came together with excitement in anticipation of this much needed community resource. The celebration also emphasized collective empowerment and the importance of stimulating the Black economy by supporting our businesses. From being hosted a Black-owned venue to Juanita’s Kitchen providing the bar service, Food Dude serving Caribbean dishes, Mishka Vodka offering complimentary samples, and Ed the World Famous providing music, every component of the launch party was Black.

Co-hosted by the Miami-Dade Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB) and the Miami Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT), the launch party also kicked off the “I Support B.O.B.” (Black Owned Business) campaign, which will consist of a series of events and awareness efforts to stimulate business growth for local Black businesses.

BlackPagesMiami.com is a comprehensive digital platform that makes it easier than ever to discover Black-owned businesses on the website by map, county, category, and keyword. You can also submit a business listing for free.
