Shuckin’ & Jivin’ opens 2nd location

Shuckin & Jivin

Shuckin’ & Jivin’ opened their doors to the second restaurant We Shuckin’ in Broward, Taft Street Pembroke Pines with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 10. Shuckin’ & Jivin’ is a 1960’s and 70’s themed eatery that takes you back to an era when life was groovy and food was something you experienced and not just ate. The authentic taste and ambiance show you the real southern culture and highlights some of the greatest Black culinary icons. They serve you southern food with an old-school groove and everything is handmade and locally sourced.

Food entrepreneur Ernisha Randolph and her musically talented family launched the new outlet with some exclusive items on the menu that are said to be inspired by the New Orleans local flavors. Ernisha is not just an entrepreneur, she is also a mentor who runs a non-profit to guide young girls for making better life choices and the lessons she learned from the hardships of being a teen mom. In her college days, she launched Juanita’s Kitchen, a catering service with her grandmother which runs successfully to date. With ongoing high customer demand for easy access to her food, in 2017, she started the Sweet Butter Hospitality Group where the team extensively tested and hosted pop-up diner shows. In June 2018, she finally opened doors to her cult cuisine restaurant Shuckin’ & Jivin’. The outlet served over 30,000 meals let alone in the first five months of operation making it a super successful venture of the company.

The chain is funded and supported by Miami Bayside Foundation and the second location is a part of the company’s expansion venture. They currently have an outlet in Miami and a food truck apart from the one they recently opened in Pines; the next in line is expected to open in Miami Gardens which is also a dine-in location.

If Creole food and New Orleans-style cooking is what you love, then Shuckin’ & Jivin’ has all of your fixins with a menu of gumbo, jambalaya, Shrimp Po’ Boy, conch fritters, and grilled shrimp. Drop by and enjoy the authentic cuisine and culture.
